Bunny Hop Player · Last updated 5 August 2026

There is no server, no account, and no analytics. The only data that leaves your browser is the title, artist and length of the current song, sent to the lyrics database to look up its lyrics.

What the extension reads

While a YouTube Music tab is open, the extension reads from that page only:

It reads this from the page you already have open. It does not download, record, copy or re-transmit any audio.

What is sent off your device

To find lyrics, the extension sends a search request to LRCLIB (https://lrclib.net), a public community lyrics database. That request contains the track title, the artist name, and the track length in seconds.

Nothing else is included. No identifier, no account, and nothing that describes you rather than the song. Requests are made only when a new track starts, or when you search manually.

LRCLIB is operated independently of this extension and has its own terms and privacy practices.

What is stored on your device

Stored locally using the browser's extension storage, and never transmitted:

This data stays in your browser profile. You can erase all of it at any time from Settings → Cached lyrics → Clear cache, or by removing the extension.
